Concrete_Recollected_Constructed (2008)

Curated by: Dušan Dovč
Production: SCCA-Ljubljana 2008
Duration: 47 minutes

The program includes five videos of female artists from Slovenia. The artists are exploring the meaning of performance or they are merely acting out a “pure” action taken in front of the camera. Their answers could be found in two videos focused on the body and its concrete presence (Duba Sambolec, Collectors #3, Nataša Berk, Törpe), in the other two videos inspired by the individual memory and nostalgia (Nataša Skušek, Free Time, Polonca Lovšin, Street: Always Better), while the fifth video (Ema Kugler: Taiga) is presenting the video performance as a construction of imaginary time and space.
